About The Position

As a Fullstack Software Engineer – Digital Product Development, you'll be part of our Digital Product Development team working as a hybrid employee. You'll get to design, develop, and maintain backend RESTful APIs and web frontends that support web, mobile, and external-facing product experiences. You will also architect and optimize SQL databases, including schema design, query tuning, indexing strategies, and data migrations for high-throughput workloads. Maintain API security best practices, including authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and secure production-grade service design. Create clear API documentation and help enforce consistent API design standards across the team. Collaborate with connected product leaders, frontend engineers, and mobile developers to define API contracts and deliver high-quality features. Contribute to standardized web component frameworks and consistent user interface experiences. Work in Agile sprint teams to continuously deliver new and enhanced digital capabilities. Support backend data workflows and lightweight ETL processes to ensure timely, high-quality data for API consumers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Fullstack Developer, API Engineer, Web Developer, or in a similar role.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs and web frontends, with React preferred.
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience, including schema design, optimization, indexing strategies, and migration tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, CI/CD tools, infrastructure as code, and containerization technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java, and/or Go.
  • Knowledge of API security, observability, versioning strategies, and backward-compatible release practices.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed, and remotely managed organization.
  • An undergraduate degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent work experience in digital technologies.
