Full Stack Software Engineer, Support Operations

ClickHouse•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

Support Operations Engineering is an engineering function within ClickHouse’s Support Services organization. The team builds systems that shape how customers receive help, from describing a problem through resolution, and enables collaboration among Support Services, RevOps, GTM, and core Engineering. The role is not limited to maintaining internal tools: some work directly supports the support organization, while other work builds experiences and systems that help ClickHouse work with customers more effectively. The engineer will design and build systems between ClickHouse’s customers and the teams serving them. Work may include intelligent routing and decision systems; AI-powered customer and internal experiences; production-grade applications for Support, RevOps, and GTM; integrations connecting Salesforce, live chat, incident management, Slack, GitHub, and other systems; and automation and observability. The engineer will partner with core Engineering to ship to production and own work through code review, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement. The company is remote-friendly and globally distributed, operating in more than 25 countries.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience building and shipping full-stack software in production, using TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and React or comparable tools.
  • Experience developing with APIs, webhooks, and integrations between distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience close to support, either as a support or technical support engineer or by building tools or integrations for a support, CS, or RevOps team.
  • Confidence using Git and safe, version-controlled deployment workflows.
  • Ability to translate operational needs into solutions that non-engineers can follow.
  • Self-driven, curious approach and ability to own problems end-to-end in a remote, globally distributed team.
  • Comfort using AI tools day to day when building, with a clear sense of where to trust them.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building LLM-powered features in production, such as routing, retrieval, evaluation, or observability.
  • Salesforce platform experience (Apex, LWC, Flows, custom objects) or certifications, or willingness to develop Salesforce expertise quickly.
  • Experience with support and incident tools such as Pylon, incident.io, PagerDuty, Zendesk, Slack APIs, or GitHub APIs.
  • Experience with ClickHouse or other analytical databases.
  • Experience in an early-stage or greenfield environment, or embedded in a support, RevOps, or business-systems function.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build systems connecting customers with the teams that serve them.
  • Develop intelligent routing and decision systems that direct work using multiple signals and can adapt as the business scales.
  • Build AI-powered customer-facing and internal experiences that understand needs, recommend next steps, and hand off to people when appropriate.
  • Create production-standard applications and tools for Support, RevOps, and GTM teams.
  • Build integrations and data flows across Salesforce, live chat, incident management, Slack, GitHub, and other systems.
  • Develop automation that reduces repetitive work and observability systems that surface problems and build confidence in production systems.
  • Partner with core Engineering to ship work to production.
  • Own delivered systems through code review, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Translate operational needs into solutions that non-engineers can follow.
