ClickHouse•San Francisco, CA
•$154,000 - $215,000•Remote

About The Position

The Full Stack Software Engineer will join Support Operations Engineering, an engineering function within ClickHouse’s Support Services organization. The team builds systems that determine how customers get help, from describing a problem through resolution, and shapes collaboration among Support Services, RevOps, GTM, and core Engineering. The work extends beyond tools for the support organization to include experiences and systems that help ClickHouse work with customers more effectively and efficiently. The engineer will design and build intelligent routing and decision systems, AI-powered customer and internal experiences, production-ready internal platforms and tooling, integrations across business and engineering systems, and automation and observability capabilities. The role partners with core Engineering to ship to production and owns systems through code review, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement. ClickHouse is a globally distributed, remote-friendly company operating in more than 25 countries.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years building and shipping full-stack software in production, using TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, React, or comparable technologies.
  • Experience developing with APIs, webhooks, and integrations between distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience close to support, either as a support or technical support engineer or by building tools or integrations for a support, CS, or RevOps team.
  • Confidence with Git and safe, version-controlled deployment workflows.
  • Ability to translate operational needs into solutions that non-engineers can follow.
  • Self-driven, curious, and comfortable owning a problem end-to-end in a remote, globally distributed team.
  • Comfort using AI tools day to day while understanding where to trust them.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building LLM-powered features in production, such as routing, retrieval, evaluation, or observability.
  • Salesforce platform experience (Apex, LWC, Flows, custom objects) or certifications, or an appetite to learn quickly.
  • Experience with support and incident tooling such as Pylon, incident.io, PagerDuty, Zendesk, Slack APIs, or GitHub APIs.
  • Experience with ClickHouse or other analytical databases.
  • Experience in an early-stage or greenfield environment, or embedded in a support, RevOps, or business-systems function.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build systems connecting ClickHouse customers with the teams that serve them.
  • Build intelligent routing and decision systems that direct work based on multiple signals and adapt as the business scales.
  • Develop AI-powered customer-facing and internal experiences that understand needs, recommend next steps, and hand off to a human when appropriate.
  • Build production-ready applications and tools for Support, RevOps, and GTM teams.
  • Develop integrations and data flows across Salesforce, live chat, incident management, Slack, GitHub, and other systems.
  • Create automation that reduces repetitive work and observability systems that surface problems and provide confidence in operations.
  • Partner with core Engineering to ship software to production.
  • Own delivered systems through code review, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Translate operational needs into solutions that non-engineers can follow.

Benefits

  • Employer contributions toward healthcare.
  • Stock options for every new team member.
  • Flexible time off in the US and generous time-off entitlement in other countries.
  • USD $500 home office setup allowance for remote employees.
  • Opportunities to engage with colleagues at company-wide offsites.
  • Flexible, remote-friendly work environment.
