About The Position

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build, enhance, and support cloud-based applications across the front end, back end, and database layers. Working closely with UI/UX designers, engineers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional partners, this person will turn business requirements into reliable, well-tested solutions; develop frontend web applications; and build and integrate RESTful APIs on AWS. The engineer will contribute across the full software development lifecycle — technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support — with a strong emphasis on AWS-based, serverless architectures. This role includes solutioning on AWS, applying Well-Architected Framework principles, and helping ensure applications are reliable, secure, and maintainable.

Requirements

  • US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience building frontend web applications using Angular or React, with strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills and familiarity with related frontend design patterns.
  • Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and full stack applications on AWS using API Gateway, Lambda, S3, and RDS or DynamoDB; solid understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Proficiency in Python for backend development, scripting, and integration tasks.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD build tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with AI coding agents/tools and their use in the development workflow.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience collaborating with application and platform teams in an Agile environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) beyond coding agents (e.g., AI/ML integrations).
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including secure development, access controls, and auditability.
  • Prior experience with Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services or other government agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, maintain, and enhance full stack applications across the front end, back end, and database layers.
  • Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Develop frontend web applications using Angular or React, applying modern frontend design patterns and best practices.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs using API Gateway and Lambda to support integration between applications and enterprise systems.
  • Design and implement backend/data storage solutions using RDS and/or DynamoDB, and integrate with S3 and related AWS services.
  • Define and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Partner with Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps, and application teams to implement CI/CD pipeline deployments using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Leverage AI coding agents/tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application and integration issues in development and production environments, and document root cause and resolution steps.
  • Work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver application solutions that support business and user needs.
