About The Position
Turbo AI turns anything you upload into bite-sized lessons that make learning fast and actually fun. We have 12 million users in less than 2 years. Engineers own features end-to-end: from identifying the problem -> brainstorming solutions -> implementing it -> monitoring user analytics -> decide what iterations to make. We are highly profitable and growing. Most of this job is judgment and communication. In a world where coding is faster than ever with smarter LLMs everyday, deciding what to build and what to skip, then telling everyone clearly what you're doing and why is the priority. If you can look at a business problem, work out which part actually matters this week, and explain that in a few sentences, you'll do very well here. We continuously optimize for solutions that take 20% of the time for 80% of the value before sinking precious engineering resources into areas. Shipping something 80% right today beats something perfect next month. Our stack includes Modern React on web, React Native on mobile, Python and TypeScript servers on the backend, and PostgresSQL. Everyone here is young, ambitious and moves fast.
Requirements
- Shipped real things that real people used
- Default to the simplest solution and can explain why the complicated one isn't worth it
- Think about the business, not just the ticket. Can tell which work actually moves the number.
- Clear, direct communicator. Writes things down and people understand them the first time.
- Genuinely fluent with AI coding tools. This isn't a bonus, it's how the whole team works.
- Comfortable owning something without being managed
