About The Position

Rechat is the operating system for real estate, offering a comprehensive product that integrates marketing, CRM, transactions, listings, and AI, aiming to replace the fragmented tools currently used by real estate agents. The company has invested in making its product AI-native and is experiencing rapid growth. This role is remote and involves working directly with brokerage executives and managers to understand their needs and translate them into functional software on the Rechat platform. Responsibilities include developing manager dashboards, business trackers, listing tools, workflows, and AI agents that perform background tasks like deal monitoring, activity summarization, risk flagging, and action execution. The emphasis is on speed and iteration, with the ability to go from a client call to a working prototype in a single morning and to production within days. The engineer will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from client interaction and specification to prototyping, shipping, debugging, and ensuring adoption of their work. Some solutions will be client-specific, while the most impactful will become part of the core Rechat product for all users. This is a new function within the company, and the role will contribute to defining its operational framework.

Requirements

3 to 5 years as a full-stack software engineer with production experience.
Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
Comfortable working across the full stack: APIs, data, frontend, and deployment.
Daily use of AI in development, leading to significant speed improvements.
Ability to demonstrate building features in days that previously took weeks.
Experience working directly with customers or non-technical stakeholders to ship products.
Experience debugging and supporting software post-launch.

Nice To Haves

Experience building AI agents where an LLM calls tools or APIs and takes action autonomously.
Experience in the real estate or proptech industry.
Understanding of real estate terminology and brokerage business models.

Responsibilities

Running calls with brokerage leaders to understand their needs and writing clear specifications.
Rapidly prototyping solutions using AI to build client-facing features within days.
Shipping features to production using Rechat's APIs at a fast pace.
Building AI agents that can act autonomously, including defining triggers, data usage, actions, and error handling.
Debugging and supporting shipped features.
Identifying common needs across multiple brokerages and building reusable solutions.
Ensuring that built features are adopted and used by clients.
