About The Position
We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer with experience across React, Javascript, Golang and modern cloud technologies to support Supply Chain services and warehouse management systems. In this role, you will participate in the design, architecture, and implementation of software solutions that solve complex business problems and improve operational efficiency across supply chain operations. As a Software Development Engineer, you will contribute to building scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that support critical business processes. Your work will help enable the development and deployment of modern supply chain platforms used to manage logistics, warehouse operations, and distributed systems across cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions while ensuring maintainability, scalability, and strong system architecture.
Requirements
- 4+ years professional experience as a software engineer
- Recent experience with Web UI development using JavaScript (React, Redux, Node.JS, TypeScript)
- Recent experience with RESTful APIs (Golang, Java, Python)
- Recent experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, etc.) and basic Kubernetes
- Test automation experience at all levels (Unit, Integration, Regression)
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools and pipelines (GitHub CI/CD, Teraform)
- Familiarity with ops tools, logging, and metrics (New Relic)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- A passion for innovation, clean code, and learning new technologies
- Required experience using Claude Code (or similar AI-assisted development tools) in a professional development workflow
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or comparable experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and collaborate with local squad and partner teams
- Implement software features, which satisfy business objectives, with high quality
- Test all scenarios and conform to quality and security standards
- Participate in design and code review to ensure quality and testability of feature code
- Understand, identify, measure performance and success of features
- Identify performance issues; apply knowledge of security coding practices and secure system fundamentals (e.g., cross-site scripting, security certificates)
- Assist with tasks triaged from on-call FTE engineers & feature work
- Use Claude Code and other Nordstrom-approved AI tools as part of the day-to-day development workflow.
