About The Position

The .NET/React Developer designs, develops, and maintains enterprise-grade web applications and services, using the Microsoft .NET stack on the back end and React with TypeScript or JavaScript on the front end. The role spans the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The developer is expected to produce clean, maintainable code, follow best practices and coding standards, and collaborate with Product, UX/UI, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams to deliver robust, secure, and performant applications. The role requires an active Top Secret Security Clearance and the ability to pass a background check. Additional checks may be required by projects or clients during employment. The position may be performed in a professional office environment with the ability to work on-site. Flexible schedules, holidays, travel, and work outside normal business hours may be requested. The position reports to the Program Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of professional software development experience, including significant full-stack web application development experience.
• Strong experience with ASP.NET (MVC and/or Web API), C#, and the .NET ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework and/or other object-relational mappers (ORMs).
• Strong SQL Server knowledge, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency with .NET technologies such as C#, ADO.NET, and Entity Framework.
• Experience applying design and architectural patterns, including dependency injection, layered architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Familiarity or experience with REST, RPC, and integration best practices.
• Strong front-end experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience designing and implementing responsive, accessible UI components and pages.
• Proficiency with Git/GitLab, version control, branching strategies, and pull/merge request workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including debugging complex technical issues across the stack.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, maintainable code.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum team environment.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to pass a background check; additional project- or client-required background checks may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs using ASP.NET, C#, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
• Develop and maintain responsive front-end interfaces using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Design and implement front-end and back-end components, ensuring seamless integration and consistent user experiences.
• Apply software design and architectural patterns, such as layered architecture, dependency injection, and the repository pattern.
• Design, implement, and consume RESTful APIs and other integration approaches, such as RPC, as required.
• Promote application performance, scalability, security, and reliability through effective coding, optimization, and appropriate patterns and tools.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code that follows industry best practices, internal standards, and style guidelines.
• Conduct unit, integration, and system testing, and support automated test coverage where possible.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and defects across the full stack.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and help ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and developers to define, design, and deliver features and enhancements.
• Use Git/GitLab for source control, branching, merging, and code review workflows.
• Contribute to improvements in development processes, tooling, coding standards, and team practices.
• Stay current with .NET, React, cloud-native development, and related best practices, and recommend adoption where appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
