About The Position

Peregrine Advisors is hiring a Full Stack Developer to develop and support cloud-native Python services on AWS, with back-end work in Python and front-end development in React.js. The position is a hybrid work arrangement based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with the commuting cadence varying by assignment. The initial engagement requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination. On the initial project, the developer will likely take user stories from refinement through production. Work may include building Python back-end features and React.js screens and components, integrating internal systems with commercial products through APIs, and automating workflows with AWS services such as S3 and Lambda. The role also contributes to CI/CD pipeline automation, secure and accessible coding, production support, unit and integration testing, code reviews, defect resolution, test-driven development, and automated testing. AI-assisted development tools are part of the workflow, but their output must be reviewed and tested, and the developer remains accountable for delivering working, tested code. The role involves replacing spreadsheet-based workflows, manual checks, and business validations with automation, and creating deployment pipelines that make service releases routine. As assignments evolve, the developer may move to other challenging work across the company. Peregrine supports professional development through onboarding, sponsored certifications and continuing education, and opportunities to rotate across functions and clients.
