About The Position

Peregrine Advisors is hiring a Full Stack Developer to build web applications end to end, from user interfaces to data layers. The position is part of a hybrid work arrangement based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with commuting cadence varying by assignment. The initial engagement requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination. The first project will likely involve developing full-stack features using PHP and Laravel, with Python alongside. Work may include building Laravel back ends, React or Vue front ends, and REST APIs that integrate with third-party systems; writing unit and integration tests for applications with heavy concurrent traffic; deploying and operating applications on AWS; and developing Python automation and caching strategies. The project is an initial assignment, not a fixed definition of the role’s future work. The developer is expected to own features and outcomes, diagnose issues across interfaces, data, and deployment, and ensure applications perform under real traffic. The role includes collaboration with developers, engineers, data scientists, architects, and strategists across strategy and implementation. Peregrine supports development across assignments and clients through onboarding, sponsored certifications and continuing education, and opportunities to rotate across functions. This is a full-time W-2 position with a salary of $100,000 to $150,000 per year. The interview process includes discussion of a difficult problem the candidate has worked through and a live Python coding exercise.
