About The Position

As a Full Stack Developer in Barclays’ Fraud and Identity Verification (IDV) team, you’ll help build and evolve the platforms that protect millions of customers and transactions every day, forming a critical backbone of Barclays’ fraud prevention strategy. This role gives you working experience with modern Java microservices powering real-time risk assessment, authentication, and verification systems that directly enable customer trust, business growth, and digital innovation at scale. Requirements

Solid foundation in Java fundamentals, with an interest in building and supporting backend services that operate at scale
Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills, with curiosity to understand how technology can prevent fraud and protect customers
Eager to learn modern engineering practices in microservices, APIs, and CI/CD while collaborating effectively within an agile, cross functional team

Nice To Haves

Exposure to Spring / Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, or microservices-based architectures
Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases and basic data modeling concepts
Interest in cloud platforms, DevOps, or site reliability concepts within large-scale systems
