About The Position

AlixPartners is hiring a Full Stack AI Senior Developer for its Application Development and Platform Support team. The role develops bespoke applications and websites globally and supports, enhances, maintains, and upgrades custom-developed applications. It introduces development processes and tools, contributes to application architecture and design, automates development processes, and supports change management for enterprise applications and integrations. The position is based in Southfield, Michigan, and reports to the Application Development & Platform Support Manager.

This is a full-time, six-month contract with potential to extend. AlixPartners uses a hybrid work model: in-person at an AlixPartners office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with remote work options on Monday and Friday. Paid relocation and benefits are not available for this contract position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of experience in application analysis, development, or a related field, with significant exposure to software development best practices and processes.
• Experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET, and Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.
• Experience prompting and evaluating large language models, including Claude, Copilot, and Gemini, with few-shot prompting and structured outputs.
• Working knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), grounding strategies, common LLM failure modes such as hallucinations, prompt injection, and data leakage, and Agentic AI.
• Ability to translate business requirements into prompt strategies and product requirements with measurable outcomes for quality, safety, speed, and cost.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with different personnel styles and obtain buy-in for strategies across organizational levels and functions.
• Process- and detail-oriented, with the ability to understand the big picture.
• Clear verbal and written English communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to work full-time in an office and remote environment and to sit or stand at a computer and work in front of a screen for significant portions of the workday.
• Willingness to work outside normal U.S. business hours when unique projects or needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysis, Project Management, and Business Relationship Management teams, including application support, to define, develop, and deliver new capabilities.
• Contribute to incorporating application development tools, techniques, and processes into architecture, development, and design efforts.
• Automate and implement key development processes and promote adoption of application management and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate on development plans for managing and monitoring application development, support, and maintenance initiatives.
• Support change management processes for development and upgrades of enterprise applications and integrations.
• Communicate project and support-related information to IT leadership and business staff in a polished, professional manner.
• Perform additional responsibilities as identified.
