About The Position

Smith+Nephew is seeking a passionate, bold, and driven Full-Line Sales Representative to join our Orthopaedics team in Buffalo, NY. This role is crucial for impacting people's health and well-being by exceeding quotas and achieving top rankings. The Sales Representative will work within an assigned territory and hospital accounts, assisting in scheduling operative cases, securing inventory, observing and consulting surgical teams on instrumentation and implants, and completing logistical requirements. The position demands the ability to quickly learn a high level of technical information related to surgery and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • A valid driver’s license applicable to current residence to facilitate of travel requirements of position.
  • Must successfully complete the credentialing process and comply with the requirements of healthcare facilities, which can include adherence to any established vaccine protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the scheduling of operative cases.
  • Secure inventory for operative cases.
  • Observe and consult the surgical team on Smith+Nephew instrumentation and implants.
  • Complete logistical requirements associated with operative cases.
  • Become a technical expert in the Orthopaedics portfolio through structured trainings and assessments.
  • Build rapport with Sales Reps and leadership in the territory and region.
  • Build positive relationships with surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospital staff, and co-workers to enhance customer access.
  • Provide data-driven, trusted solutions.
  • Collaborate with teammates to develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed quota.
  • Take strategic responsibility for your area and work with customers to deliver the best solutions for patients.
  • Provide first-class technical support to ensure product availability meets customer and patient needs.
  • Partner with all Smith+Nephew Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts in the region to discover sales opportunities.
