About The Position

Armstrong World Industries (AWI) has a job opportunity for a Full Line Sales Manager to cover the West Texas and New Mexico markets. As our Full Line Sales Manager, you will interact with architects, distributors, contractors, owners, and facility managers to influence the specification and purchase of Armstrong commercial ceiling and wall systems while meeting or exceeding the sales budget regarding price, volume, and mix. Additionally, you will interact and partner with other Armstrong sales representatives to drive improved business results.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Working knowledge and experience in construction, contracting, distribution, specification sales, commercial building products, and knowledge of market segments, customers, and distribution channels
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to plan effectively short and long term tactically and strategically to achieve goals
  • Must be proficient in working with Microsoft Windows applications
  • Strong work ethic, desire to learn and collaborate in a team oriented environment
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers (architects, designers, distributors, contractors, and owners)
  • Flexibility to make a sales call in a downtown office building or on an active construction job site
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM Systems
  • Demonstrated experience/success in architectural selling

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business profession preferred or work experience in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

  • Achieving the territory’s goals in sales volume, mix, new products, and pricing
  • Influencing people who make buying/selling decisions and have a positive influence on other’s behavior
  • Assisting architects/designers in writing specifications for Armstrong commercial ceilings, grid, and wall systems with an emphasis on gaining a competitive advantage
  • Developing productive relationships with key distributors, contractors, and Armstrong personnel
  • Tracking projects in SalesForce.com to establish plans for selling Armstrong products
  • Working with customers to comply with Armstrong specifications
  • Responsible for growing the business – increasing/maintaining market share – by creating customer value and competitive advantages
