Cristo Rey Orlando High School is located in Orlando, FL, and is part of the national Cristo Rey Network. The school opened its doors to its inaugural freshmen class in the fall of 2025. Like all Cristo Rey schools, it is a Catholic, college preparatory high school for students of all faiths from families of limited financial means. We are looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a small, close-knit team that takes its work seriously and genuinely enjoys working together. This is a hands-on role anchored in accounts payable, month-end close, and general ledger management. Requirements

2 to 4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience with demonstrated work in AP, general ledger, and month-end close
Experience preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data reconciliation
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Solid understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and a task-oriented work style, with the ability to follow through and flag issues proactively
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines consistently
Clear and professional communication skills, including for collections-related follow-up

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience in education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization accounting
Experience supporting accounting process improvements
Familiarity with Ramp or similar expense management platforms
Spanish language proficiency, spoken and written

Responsibilities

Post vendor invoices and expense reimbursements accurately and on schedule
Support expense reporting and reimbursement workflows
Maintain organized vendor records and support payment runs
Own the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing schedules and reconciling accounts
Draft preliminary financial reports and support variance and budget-to-actual analyses
Reconcile bank accounts
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations with accuracy and consistency
Post journal entries and ensure general ledger accounts are properly supported and documented
Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
Generate and distribute invoices, track incoming payments, and maintain accurate AR records
Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue balances professionally and on schedule
Reconcile the AR subledger to the general ledger regularly
Compile documentation and schedules for audits and respond to auditor inquiries
Maintain organized, audit-ready records at all times
Prepare cash flow forecasts and ad hoc financial analyses as needed
Support budgeting and forecasting processes and identify process improvements as the school's financial operations continue to grow
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the Vice President of Finance & Operations.
