About The Position

RuffleButts + RuggedButts is seeking a full-time Fulfillment Associate to pick, organize, package, and ship customer orders. The role involves using a handheld RF scanner and pick cart to gather orders, sorting orders for fulfillment, checking products for damage or defects, preparing items for shipment, and selecting shipping methods using software and a workstation. The associate also sorts packages by carrier and occasionally performs general warehouse tasks, including sweeping, removing trash, creating and breaking down boxes, returning inventory, cycle counting, and replenishment. The role suits a fast learner and hard worker who enjoys varied tasks, teamwork, and working in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Requirements

• Automated or RF warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to operate, or willingness to learn to operate, material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts.
• Ability to stand for long periods and frequently stoop or bend.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and self-motivated.
• Ability to work with other team members to accomplish goals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and standards.
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Use a handheld RF scanner and pick cart to collect customer orders and place them in appropriate locations.
• Sort orders into appropriate fulfillment categories and prepare them for packing and shipping.
• Check picked and sorted products for damage or defects and package them with attention to presentation.
• Use shipping software and a workstation to select shipping methods, label packages, and send them for sorting.
• Sort packaged items by carrier for shipment to customers or wholesale partners.
• Perform occasional warehouse tasks, including sweeping, trash removal, box creation and breakdown, inventory putback, cycle counting, and replenishment.
