Fulfillment Lead - MI (1st shift)
About The Position
DreamFields is a leading cannabis company seeking a Fulfillment Lead to oversee a small team of fulfillment team members. This role is a working lead position focused on ensuring products move smoothly through the facility with best practices for shipping and order packaging. The Fulfillment Lead will collaborate with the Fulfillment Manager to maintain pace and quality, provide guidance to packers, ensure production meets expectations, and help ensure timely product shipment. Key skills for this role include strong communication, multitasking, prioritization, and the ability to anticipate potential issues.
Requirements
- Valid California Driver's License or State ID card
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Demonstrates experience as a team lead or supervisor, or an equivalent role
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented; Ability to notice the minute details that differentiate products from each other and to count quickly and accurately.
- Ability to proactively anticipate possible issues.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in a rapid paced environment.
- Ability to execute instructions in a timely and exact manner.
- 2-3 years experience with warehouse shipping
- Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and other manufacturing conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
- Must be physically capable of sitting or standing for long periods or entire shifts.
- Must be capable of repetitive motion using hands and arms.
- Must have full use of arms, hands, and fingers for fine manipulation of cannabis, making boxes, and applying compliance stickers.
Nice To Haves
- 2-3 years of experience with and demonstrable knowledge of the safe operation of forklifts (preferably standup), reach trucks, and similar material movement equipment in a warehouse environment, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise teams, providing instruction and guidance to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Work with inventory team to ensure a steady flow of product and materials to the line.
- Dedicated to Fulfillment Team
- Assist in keeping the warehouse and cold storage areas organized, clean, and free of recognized hazards
- Support packaging and shipping functions
- Ensure customer SOP's are followed by packaging line
- Follow company policy and best practice and support packaging team in doing the same
- Ensure product is labeled, quality checked, and shipped correctly per carrier requirements
- Move product and materials throughout the facility to support business operations
- Assist with other miscellaneous warehouse responsibilities.
