Fulfillment Lead - MI (1st shift)

The Fulfillment Lead oversees a small team of fulfillment team members as a working lead to ensure our products move through our facility smoothly using best practices for shipping and order packaging. This role partners with the Fulfillment Manager to ensure the pace and quality of work support daily order requirements, provide guidance to packers, keep production moving, and help ensure product ships on time. Key skills include strong communication, multitasking, prioritization, and the ability to anticipate potential issues.
Requirements
- Valid California Driver's License or State ID card
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Demonstrates experience as a team lead or supervisor, or an equivalent role
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented; Ability to notice the minute details that differentiate products from each other and to count quickly and accurately.
- Ability to proactively anticipate possible issues.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in a rapid paced environment.
- Ability to execute instructions in a timely and exact manner.
- 2-3 years experience with warehouse shipping
- Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and other manufacturing conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
- Must be physically capable of sitting or standing for long periods or entire shifts.
- Must be capable of repetitive motion using hands and arms.
- Must have full use of arms, hands, and fingers for fine manipulation of cannabis, making boxes, and applying compliance stickers.
- All candidates must be willing to submit to a background check to be considered for the position.
Nice To Haves
- 2-3 years of experience with and demonstrable knowledge of the safe operation of forklifts (preferably standup), reach trucks, and similar material movement equipment in a warehouse environment, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise teams, providing instruction and guidance to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Work with inventory team to ensure a steady flow of product and materials to the line.
- Dedicated to Fulfillment Team
- Assist in keeping the warehouse and cold storage areas organized, clean, and free of recognized hazards
- Support packaging and shipping functions
- Ensure customer SOP's are followed by packaging line
- Follow company policy and best practice and support packaging team in doing the same
- Ensure product is labeled, quality checked, and shipped correctly per carrier requirements
- Move product and materials throughout the facility to support business operations
- Assist with other miscellaneous warehouse responsibilities.
