About The Position

Wantable is redefining retail through personalization with a membership-based model and proprietary technology. As a data-driven fashion company, Wantable combines human intuition with algorithmic intelligence to deliver personalized assortments. They are seeking a hands-on Fulfillment Center Manager to own the end-to-end performance of their Milwaukee Fulfillment Center. This role is responsible for leading all fulfillment functions, including picking, packing, returns, receiving, and inventory management, while continuously improving efficiency, accuracy, safety, and cost. The manager will lead a large, diverse team in a fast-paced environment, using data, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve throughput, reduce errors, and scale operations profitably. This is a high-ownership role trusted to make decisions, prioritize improvements, and deliver results with minimal bureaucracy. The position primarily supports and leads day-shift operations while maintaining accountability for overall fulfillment center performance across all shifts, including direct leadership and development of the third-shift manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent operational leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a fulfillment center leadership role overseeing 100+ employees, or similar scale operation.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Experience working with labor planning tools, or operational reporting systems.
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
  • Experience leading a fulfillment, distribution, or warehouse operation of 100 or more employees.
  • Strong ownership mindset with a relentless focus on efficiency and execution.
  • Data-driven leadership style, using KPIs to manage individuals and teams.
  • Demonstrated experience improving operations through process optimization, automation, or technology adoption.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with associates, managers, and cross-functional partners.

  • Operating safely in a warehouse environment with moving equipment, conveyors, and varying noise levels.
  • Navigating all areas of the facility, including elevated work areas accessible by ladder.
  • Demonstrating and assisting with fulfillment center tasks, including receiving, picking, packing, inventory management, and returns processing as business needs require.
  • Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and complying with all safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Own daily fulfillment center operations across picking, packing, returns, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers and supervisors to run strong, accountable teams.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for the third-shift manager, ensuring alignment of priorities, performance standards, communication, and operational execution across shifts.
  • Ensure staffing levels align with volume forecasts and service goals.
  • Use KPIs and dashboards to manage performance across productivity, accuracy, cost, safety, and on-time shipment.
  • Analyze workflows, labor models, space utilization, and equipment to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to apply automation, AI, or system enhancements to reduce manual work and increase efficiency.
  • Partner with Engineering, IT, and other Operations teams on tooling, system upgrades, and process changes.
  • Collaborate with Styling and Customer Service leaders on order flow and customer experience initiatives and improvements.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance across all levels of the fulfillment team.
  • Ensure team members are well trained, cross-functional, and able to perform essential tasks accurately.
  • Collaborate closely with Human Resources on hiring plans, workforce development, and employee relations.
  • Handle performance management, discipline, and terminations in alignment with company policy.
  • Conduct timely, constructive performance evaluations for managers and supervisors.
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc operational reviews and planning meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company safety requirements.
  • Keep the customer experience at the center of operational decisions, balancing speed, accuracy, and cost.
