About The Position

The Area Manager supports QVC and will oversee the distribution operation department, partnering with other departments. This role involves monitoring and controlling operations, prioritizing, assigning, and reviewing tasks to maintain departmental efficiency and meet productivity, service, and quality goals. The Area Manager will report to the Operations Manager. This role is onsite and requires daily work from the Ontario, CA fulfillment center. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years of demonstrated Leadership/Supervisory experience in a high volume distribution center or warehouse environment.
Experience encouraging a positive work environment and partnering with employees.

Responsibilities

Develop and administer operational procedures for perfectly completing activities for incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and keeping the highest standards of inventory accuracy.
Network and consult with corporate / site resources and facilities staff to ensure low-cost efficiencies and high service levels are maintained.

Review existing operations to determine what improvements the department can make to allow for cost reduction, increased speed, and improved customer service.
Oversee daily operations for assigned area, partnering with other departments.
Identify, report, and communicate with the Department Manager trends and irregularities.
Take an approach to analyzing deficiencies and develop plans to correct them.
