About The Position

This position oversees Fuel Truck Drivers to meet customer needs and resolve issues while ensuring the highest level of safety. The dispatcher coordinates route coverage, driver attendance and timekeeping, fuel transportation and delivery operations, and provides clerical support.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be available to take calls on weekends and evenings.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in previous fuel dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an up-to-date listing of assigned drivers.
• Ensure an up-to-date route sheet is available for each scheduled route.
• Ensure each scheduled route is appropriately covered using available relief or substitute drivers.
• Maintain an accurate daily attendance roster of drivers.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Oversee fuel transportation, inventory levels, daily pricing, market movement, warehousing, deliveries, reloading, minimizing downtime, and efficient route planning.
• Ensure drivers accurately clock their time and that any write-in time is accurately reflected on the daily report.
• Coordinate with drivers to resolve issues, problems, or concerns that arise during delivery.
• Perform clerical support duties as assigned.
