Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within transportation, logistics, or fleet management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI (or equivalent BI tools such as Tableau).
Strong understanding of fleet operations, fuel procurement, and transportation cost drivers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ELD platforms.
Background in trucking, 3PL, or asset-based carrier environments.

Responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and report on fleet-wide fuel consumption data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Build and maintain dashboards and KPI reports tracking fuel efficiency metrics (MPG, idle time, fuel cost per mile, etc.).
Identify trends, anomalies, and outliers in fuel usage across drivers, routes, and vehicle types.
Conduct variance analysis to compare actual fuel performance against benchmarks and targets.
Develop and recommend fuel-saving strategies including routing optimization, idle reduction programs, and driver coaching initiatives.
Collaborate with dispatch and operations teams to implement route efficiency improvements that reduce fuel consumption.
Evaluate fuel purchasing strategies, including fuel card programs, bulk purchasing, and fuel network optimization.
Analyze the impact of vehicle specs, load factors, and maintenance schedules on fuel efficiency.
Identify high-consuming drivers and generate performance insights to support targeted coaching and training programs.
Track and measure the impact of driver behavior interventions on fuel efficiency over time.
Integrate data from TMS, ELD, and fuel card platforms into centralized reporting tools.
Support the evaluation and implementation of fuel management technologies and platforms.
