About The Position

The Fuel Cashier is a key member of the store team, primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests. The role serves customers courteously, quickly, efficiently, and with a positive attitude in a travel-center retail environment. Duties include processing large diesel fuel transactions and handling a variety of customer transactions involving merchandise, truck scales, shower reservations, communications, and personal check cashing. Team members follow safety guidelines, communicate with leaders and coworkers, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve each customer courteously, quickly, and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Process large diesel fuel transactions on a point-of-sale register, handling cash, checks, and credit card payments.
• Multitask customer transactions involving merchandise, truck scales, shower reservations, communications, and personal check cashing.
• Prioritize work according to customer and management needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
• Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and coworkers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
