Requirements

Team members are responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the team member handbook
At least 3 years of experience as a qualified diesel or heavy equipment mechanic
Class A CDL

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED; technical school preferred
EPA 608 Refrigeration Certification
PA State Inspection License

Responsibilities

Complete preventive maintenance on tractors and trailers as required by state, federal and internal procedures
Diagnose and repair the following tractor components: air system, electrical system, steering, brakes, air conditioning
Diagnose and repair the following trailer components: air system, electrical system, brakes, undercarriage, suspension, and trailer structure
Diagnose and repair reefer unit including refrigeration
Change or repair tires or coordinate with vendor
Keep work area neat and clean
Abide by all company policies and governmental regulations
Responsible for DOT/OSHA/EPA record keeping as pertaining to the shop and equipment as necessary
Coordinate road breakdowns with company equipment while on duty
Responsible for snow removal of yard and scraping of trailers during weather events
