3rd shift FT Line
About The Position
The FT Line Operator sets up, operates, and troubleshoots FT line extruders, hose machines, and mandrel machines to produce mandrel hoses according to product specifications. The position includes monitoring machine operation, inspecting equipment, making minor repairs, maintaining production output and recording daily results. The operator is also responsible for housekeeping, organization, and safety in their work area and related department areas. The role is based in a manufacturing plant, requires personal protective equipment according to policy, and may involve overtime based on the production schedule.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 55 pounds consistently.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to meet production standards and occasionally exceed established standards during normal production runs.
- Ability to recognize quality and production issues and make decisions or communicate them to management.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, machinery, and blueprints.
- Skill in using light industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot FT line extruders and hose machines.
- Operate FT mandrel machines and extruders to produce mandrel hoses according to product specifications, using the FT Line, minor hand tools, cutters, cutting tools, and other production-related peripherals.
- Perform basic inspections and minor repairs of FT lines.
- Monitor machine operation.
- Maintain consistent production output standards and record daily output on production log sheets according to department requirements and specifications.
- Maintain housekeeping and organization in the assigned area and related department areas.
- Maintain a safe work area and promptly report safety hazards to the safety committee or supervisor.
- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management.
