About The Position

As a Quality Assurance Technician 5, you will help maintain high standards of product quality and plant systems. The role involves inspecting products and plant systems, documenting and reporting results, taking corrective action when needed, and collaborating with the team and management to support continuous improvement and safety. The position has no supervisory responsibilities or travel requirements. Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least 1 year of experience in an FSQA role or other QA-type experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in completing Tyson paperwork.
Leadership abilities to motivate the hourly workforce.
Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills.
Solid math and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
Ability to function well under stress.
Flexibility to work in various locations and schedules as needed.
Ability to perform heavy lifting of 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
Document and calculate inspection results and report findings to management.
Alert appropriate personnel when processes need adjustment.
Identify, segregate, and isolate non-conforming products.
Work with the team and management to support continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
