About The Position

The FSQA Technician 5 helps maintain product quality and plant systems at the Nashville Plant. The role conducts inspections, documents and reports results, and takes corrective action when necessary to address non-conforming products. It also involves working with the team and management to support continuous improvement and safety standards, along with completing additional assignments as needed. The position involves heavy lifting of 50 pounds or more and flexibility to work in various locations and schedules. Applicants must be able to perform the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of FSQA experience preferred, or other QA-type experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in completing Tyson paperwork.
Leadership abilities to motivate the hourly workforce.
Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills.
Solid math and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
Ability to function well under stress.
Flexibility to work in various locations and schedules as needed.
Ability to perform heavy lifting of 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
Accurately document and calculate inspection results and report findings to management.
Take corrective action when needed by alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes and identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products.
Work with the team and management to support continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.
Complete additional assignments as needed.
