About The Position

As a Quality Assurance Technician 5, you will help maintain high standards of product quality and plant systems. The role includes inspecting products and plant systems, recording and reporting inspection results, and taking corrective action when needed. You will collaborate with team members and management to support continuous improvement and safety standards, and perform additional assignments as needed. The position requires heavy lifting of 50 pounds or more. Candidates must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. No supervisory responsibilities or travel are indicated.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least one year of experience in an FSQA role or other QA experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in completing Tyson paperwork.
Leadership abilities to motivate the hourly workforce.
Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills.
Solid math and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
Ability to function well under stress.
Flexibility to work in various locations and schedules as needed.
Ability to perform heavy lifting of 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Conduct physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
Document and calculate inspection results and report findings to management.
Alert appropriate personnel when processes need adjustment.
Identify, segregate, and isolate non-conforming products.
Collaborate with the team and management to support continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.
Take on additional assignments as needed.
