Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and relevant food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, DOH)
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Effective communicator and team player who can train and motivate others
  • ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain); HACCP training a preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in food, chemistry, biology or related sciences
  • HACCP certification
  • Proficient with all computer applications in order to perform the job
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a QA Manager in a high-speed multi product lines facility, preferably USDA inspected.
  • Experience with creating and managing a HACCP Program.
  • Experience in a complex (Union) operational environment
  • Ability to mentor and build strong teams while effecting a positive culture change
  • Must be Self-motivated, have a strong sense of urgency and a bias for action
  • Must be flexible in challenging and complex work environment while firmly maintaining compliance and upholding standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skill. Knowledge of Spanish is preferable.
  • Ability to conceptualize practical quality and safety solutions to complex operational systems.
  • Proven ability to maintain integrity in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Ability to analyze and process high volumes of information; manage priorities; follow through

Responsibilities

  • Support daily food safety and sanitation practices within the culinary center
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with HACCP, allergen protocols, and company food safety programs
  • Conduct routine inspections, line checks, and sanitation verifications to ensure food safety readiness
  • Train and coach staff in best food handling practices, hygiene standards, and safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate FSQA documentation, including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and audit records
  • Assist in internal audits, third-party inspections, and corrective action implementation
  • Partner with culinary and operations teams to support a culture of quality, accountability, and improvement
