Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance (foodservice preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree acceptable in food, chemistry, biology or related sciences
  • HACCP certification
  • Strong knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, GMPs, SOPs) and relevant regulations (FDA Food Code, HIPAA, OSHA)
  • Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, team empowerment, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a QA Manager in a high-speed multi product lines facility, preferably USDA inspected.
  • Experience with creating and managing a HACCP Program.
  • Experience in a complex (Union) operational environment
  • Ability to mentor and build strong teams while effecting a positive culture change
  • Must be Self-motivated, have a strong sense of urgency and a bias for action
  • Must be flexible in challenging and complex work environment while firmly maintaining compliance and upholding standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skill. Knowledge of Spanish is preferable.
  • Ability to conceptualize practical quality and safety solutions to complex operational systems.
  • Proven ability to maintain integrity in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Ability to analyze and process high volumes of information; manage priorities; follow through

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance in our culinary center.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor FSQA programs aligned with regulatory, company, and client standards
  • Train and empower staff in HACCP, allergen management, and best safety practices
  • Conduct routine inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure a proactive safety culture
  • Collaborate with operations, clinical nutrition, and procurement teams to maintain product quality and dietary compliance
  • Ensure documentation and reporting meet standards for regulatory bodies (DOH, USDA, FDA, Joint Commission, etc.)
  • Respond to food safety incidents with professionalism, urgency, and a commitment to resolution and learning
