About The Position

This position involves performing routine checks on production lines, ensuring sanitation standards, conducting HACCP checks, auditing labels, and performing weight checks. The role also requires completing and reviewing documentation, assuring the proper execution of Jennie-O Turkey Store's HACCP, TQC, and NTIS programs, as well as company policies and procedures. Additionally, the technician will provide technical support and training in areas such as USDA regulation compliance, process control program analysis, product performance reporting, GMPs, and food safety principles. Poultry Inspection Sorter duties are also part of the responsibilities, along with other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and complete basic audits including HACCP monitoring and verification, SSAP preoperative and operative sanitation monitoring, weight control checks, and on-line quality audits.
  • Ability to work independently and with others with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work for extended periods in a cool environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Good attendance is essential.
  • Willingness to work towards becoming knowledgeable in product specifications, GMP policies, SSAP procedures, and HACCP programs.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and legible documentation.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English and communicate with management.
  • Possess basic math skills.
  • Able to stand on a stand.
  • Able to pass certification to be NPIS Sorter.
  • Able to use a knife.
  • Willingness to learn Poultry Inspection Sorter duties.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
