FSO Assurance - Technology Risk (Senior) (Multiple Positions) (1691682), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, San Francisco, CA. Perform IT-related external and internal audit and attestation procedures for private and public companies. Consistently apply professional standards, including PCAOB rules and regulations and AICPA attestation standards. Work on financial audit engagements to assess IT-related internal controls over financial statement reporting. Collect and analyze data to detect unmitigated risks, identify deficient controls, duplicated effort, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies. Understand the client's industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technology and industry developments. Stay informed of general business and economic developments and their effect on the client. Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 2 years of related experience working as an IT auditor or IT risk adviser for a public accounting firm, a professional services firm, or within industry.
  • Alternatively, must have a Master’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and 1 year of related experience working as an IT auditor or IT risk adviser for a public accounting firm, a professional services firm, or within industry.
  • Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity focused on financial audit IT in public company audits.
  • Must have 1 year of experience supervising audit professionals performing the IT portion of the audit (IT general controls, ERP, application knowledge, system implementation, audit knowledge, and similar).
  • Must have 1 year of experience supervising the integration with the financial audit team on application controls, IPE, and IT dependent manual controls.
  • Requires travel up to 50%, of which 15% may be international, to serve client needs.
