About The Position

Working as a Full-time FSB Training Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the development of Fastenal employees through our corporate university, the Fastenal School of Business (FSB), by performing recruitment, registration, and coordination of travel logistics for course sessions. The Fastenal School of Business (FSB) is the internal Learning and Development division of the Fastenal Company. Since 1999 we have developed the industry's most innovative thinkers and leaders. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
  • Possess or working towards a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Administrative Assistant, Tourism/Recreation or a related field of study OR possess administrative or customer service work experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn functions of the learning management system and virtual training platforms
  • Highly motivated, self directed, and customer service oriented
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Responsibilities

  • Advising employees on career development and aligning appropriate Fastenal School of Business training programs that meet their needs
  • Negotiating and executing contracts with vendors (e.g. hotel, shuttle, etc.)
  • Reconciling corporate credit card statements monthly and resolving discrepancies
  • Conducting regular meetings with leadership and employees to present training participation and impact as well as identify future training initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate course rosters within the Learning Management System
  • Planning, arranging, and communicating travel logistics for employees attending training
  • Developing and fostering relationships with employees and leadership within their respective areas of responsibility
  • Collaborating with others within FSB to accomplish department objectives
