About The Position

Working as an Full-time FSB Instructor, you will be responsible for instructing current course curriculum covering topics such as sales, product, leadership and operations in virtual and in person environments. You will assess student performance and lead employees in their career development. The Fastenal School of Business (FSB) is the internal Learning and Development division of the Fastenal Company. Since 1999 we have developed the industry's most innovative thinkers and leaders. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Requirements

18 years of age or older
Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements
Possess or working towards a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, English, liberal arts or a related field of study OR possess industry or customer service work experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn and utilize the various functions of a Learning Management System
Willingness to facilitate trainings and meetings using virtual meeting platforms
Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Work independently as well as in a team environment
Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing skills
Highly motivated and self directed with the capacity to motivate others
Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time
Demonstration of our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Nice To Haves

Prior experience presenting in a small and large group setting
Prior teaching or instructing experience
Industrial industry knowledge or experience
Knowledge of adult learning methodologies

Responsibilities

Administering and facilitating engaging and interactive instruction for employees in virtual and in-person, classroom settings
Evaluating participant knowledge and application of learning objectives
Providing written, verbal and coaching feedback within role play and hands on learning situations
Establishing relationships with both training participants and management to assist in professional development
Configuring, facilitating and utilizing various functions of the Learning Management System
