About The Position

The Frozen Supervisor leads all daily operations of the frozen department, ensuring strong in-stock conditions, proper product handling, and a clean, organized shopping environment. This role is responsible for driving sales, minimizing shrink, and leading the frozen team to execute company standards efficiently.

Requirements

  • Previous grocery or frozen department experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee receiving, stocking, rotation, and inventory management of frozen products
  • Ensure proper storage and handling to maintain product quality and integrity
  • Maintain high fill levels and reduce out-of-stocks
  • Keep backroom and freezer areas organized and efficient
  • Assist customers with product questions and location needs
  • Maintain full, faced, and shop-ready freezer cases
  • Execute promotions, pricing, and signage accurately to support sales
  • Train, coach, and supervise frozen clerks
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and completion
  • Reinforce company standards, expectations, and safety practices
  • Promote accountability and a strong team environment
  • Ensure proper product rotation (FIFO) and removal of damaged or expired items
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-merchandised freezer cases
  • Execute planograms, seasonal sets, and display changes
  • Monitor temperature controls and ensure compliance with food safety standards
  • Report and address any equipment issues promptly
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures
  • Assist with inventory counts, ordering accuracy, and shrink control
  • Track department performance including sales and labor efficiency
  • Support labor planning to meet productivity goals
