About The Position

This position is for full-time candidates who are available during our hours of operation and willing to split time between our North Kansas City office. The role involves coordinating scheduling and patient care needs, managing phone systems, updating insurance information, performing patient pretesting, assisting with eyeglass sales, and maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Personable and able to make patients feel welcome
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Desire and ability to take on new tasks
  • Ability to multi-task and follow schedules
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Ability to work assigned schedule
  • Willingness to assist in nearby locations

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate scheduling and patient care needs with the doctor
  • Answer multi-line phone system
  • Update insurance information and obtain insurance authorizations
  • Lead patients through and assist in the eye exam pretesting
  • Perform patient prescreening analysis
  • Eyeglass sales and patient assistance
  • Conform to all HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality
  • Perform other duties as assigned
