The Front Office Receptionist is responsible for opening and closing the office, managing the cash box, answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, greeting and checking in patients, checking out patients, faxing medical records, collecting payments and co-payments, setting up follow-up appointments, maintaining the doctor's schedule, paging on-call providers and lab techs, picking up intake sheets, training new employees, attending meetings, and completing self-evaluations. This role involves significant phone work and customer service, with the ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced medical office environment.
