The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for processing all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys. This role also handles all payment types, processes check-outs including resolving late and disputed charges, and manages guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns. The coordinator collaborates with Housekeeping to ensure room readiness for check-in, communicates parking procedures, and provides guests with directions and local information. Daily reports are run to identify special requests and check for accuracy. Additionally, the position involves completing cashier and closing reports, cashing personal and traveler's checks, counting the bank at the beginning and end of shifts, and balancing receipts according to Accounting specifications. The role also requires adherence to all company safety and security policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, and maintaining a clean, professional appearance. It involves welcoming and assisting guests according to company standards, anticipating their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Clear and professional communication, both in speaking and on the telephone, is essential. The coordinator will develop positive working relationships, comply with quality assurance standards, and perform tasks that may require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, as well as lifting objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds. Other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors may also be performed.
