About The Position

Serves patrons in the Restaurant dining room by performing the following functions. Ensures compliance with Kalispel Tribe of Indians Washington State Regulations, and Kalispel Golf & Country Club (KGCC) Policies and Procedures. Uses the POS system as trained. Greets guests in a Kalispel friendly manner – smiling and with a upbeat attitude. Explains any specials in detail and mentions what items appear most appealing that day. Takes beverage orders and delivers them while guests are reviewing their menu choices. Takes food orders in the proper sequence (by seat number). Serves orders, with women served first. Clears all dishes & glassware from tables (politely asking if guests are finished). Presents the guest check explaining the process. Collects payment from the guest and provides change when necessary. Provides constant, attentive and friendly service to all guests. Educates guests about daily specials and answers any questions they may have. Is knowledgeable about wine and prepared to answer guest questions about wine pairing. Communicates with supervisor to resolve guest questions in a timely manner. Keeps payments orderly and neat throughout the shift. Sells beverages and alcohol beverages, plus refills beverages. Maintains assigned sections and workstations. Assists other servers with all of the above to ensure total Teamwork. Completes all side work in a timely and satisfactory manner to ensure a clean, neat work area with adequate supply levels. Maintains a clean and stocked server station. Correctly performs all necessary paper and bookwork at shift's end. Relays any complaints, problems or positive remarks to shift supervisor. Maintains confidential daily record keeping of tips. Attends all training meetings. Assists in other projects, as directed. May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review board Hearings. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
One to three months related experience and/or training helpful; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working as a waiter/waitress preferred.
Must possess excellent customer relations and customer service skills.
Ability to handle cash and give proper change.
Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions.
Ability to learn and operate the POS system.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
Washington State Food Handler Permit within 14 days of start date.
Hepatitis A vaccination.
Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) certification.
Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 65 pounds.
Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discrimination in sound.
Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Constantly requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time.
Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
Constantly requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently requires crouching.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
