About The Position
Picasso Restaurant Group is seeking a Front of House Lead & Catering Assistant for the Marygrove Café in Detroit, MI. This role involves overseeing daily café operations and supporting the catering program. It is a hands-on leadership position for individuals who enjoy working with people, staying organized, and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Previous food service and customer service experience required
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Catering experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the front-of-house team during daily operations
- Provide outstanding customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally
- Open and close the café as needed
- Train and coach team members
- Ensure food displays, beverage stations, and dining areas remain clean, stocked, and presentation-ready
- Assist with scheduling and daily operational needs
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Prepare and package catering orders with attention to detail
- Coordinate catering deliveries and event setup
- Communicate with clients to ensure orders are accurate and completed on time
- Assist with inventory and catering supplies
- Support catering events as needed
