About The Position

The Front End/Utility Clerk helps create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and maintains a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return. The role supports the Customer 1st strategy and encourages associates to provide excellent customer service. Basic knowledge of electronics and electricity.
Retail experience.

Responsibilities

Promote trust and respect among associates.
Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products sold in the department and throughout the store.
Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold in the departments and respond to questions or make product suggestions.
Clean up spills and collect and pick up trash inside the store and in the parking lot.
Maintain the cleanliness of the department and other assigned areas.
Display a positive attitude.
Reinforce safety programs by following safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying store management.
Inspect equipment as part of preventive maintenance and notify the appropriate department or store manager of items needing repair.
Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
Report safety risks or issues and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
Collaborate with team members to encourage teamwork.
Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
