About The Position

As a Front-End Team Member, you help create a smooth and positive checkout experience by completing customer purchases accurately and providing friendly, efficient service. Tasks include scanning items, bagging groceries, answering questions, and handling transactions. You also help keep the front end organized, clean, and operating consistently by collecting carts, restocking supplies, and maintaining the checkout area. The work is active and involves adapting to customer flow and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires customer interaction skills, accurate handling of cash, card, and digital payments, attention to detail, basic math, organization, and awareness of store policies and checkout procedures. Physical activities include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working indoors and outdoors as needed. Company cashier or front-end training is completed upon hire.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old, or at least 18 depending on local or state requirements.
• Complete company cashier or front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service during checkout and when assisting customers.
• Process purchases accurately, including cash, card, and digital payments.
• Scan items, verify pricing and produce codes, complete orders, and bag groceries.
• Handle cash transactions, count change, and balance registers.
• Collect carts, restock supplies, and maintain an organized, clean checkout area.
• Assist with pricing, transaction, and customer service questions.
• Follow company policies, register procedures, and checkout processes.
• Adapt to changing tasks and customer flow throughout the shift.
