About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking a senior front end developer to develop software and systems from initial vision through production-ready delivery in a fast, agile environment. The role involves applying modern architectural approaches, tools, and technologies to help clients address difficult challenges, while considering current architecture and operating environments as well as future functionality and enhancements. The developer will also identify system improvements and create new or enhanced applications with a focus on user experience, responsiveness, accessibility, and maintainable code.

Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining applications, including front-end solutions with React, Svelte, or Vue.js.
• Experience developing and maintaining responsive, accessible web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience working in Agile environments and applying methodologies such as Scrum and Extreme Programming.
• Experience creating new applications and enhancing existing ones for user experience and responsive design.
• Ability to apply DOM manipulation techniques to deliver dynamic, interactive user experiences.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, reusable code.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of software engineering experience, or 10 or more years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN, including branching strategies and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience maintaining existing systems built with legacy frameworks such as Backbone.js or jQuery.
• Experience with automation and workflow optimization.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages such as Java, C#, or C/C++.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques such as lazy loading, code splitting, and caching strategies.
