About The Position

Capital One is seeking a front-end software engineer to help drive a major technology transformation by building high-performing, quality features for more than 100 million customers. The role works collaboratively with software engineers, designers, and product managers in a fast-paced, inclusive, iterative environment, using modern open-source frameworks and emerging technologies. The engineer provides technical leadership on front-end architecture and design patterns, mentors engineers, and develops expertise in areas such as performance, accessibility, and architecture. The position contributes to API design reviews and reusable components, and leads client Backend-for-Frontends (BFFs), micro frontend (MFE), or federated application architectures. It also advances feature-flag and canary rollout practices, promotes agentic AI tools and AI-native development, and makes hands-on contributions across modern web technologies, including PWAs, WebAssembly, mobile web, and Service Workers. The role champions quality, performance, accessibility, and customer empathy through strong engineering, testing, and user-experience standards.
