Front End Developer (Angular)
About The Position
The Front-End Developer will develop and maintain scalable web and mobile applications using Angular and Ionic. The role involves building responsive, user-friendly interfaces for complex transportation and mobility services, integrating applications with back-end services and third-party APIs, and collaborating with back-end developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to deliver features. The developer will also participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement, contributing to a growing engineering team building technology with social impact. The company is a fast-growing transportation technology provider offering mobility solutions for older adults and individuals with disabilities. It operates across multiple U.S. states and partners with public transit agencies to deliver accessible transportation through a technology-driven platform. The position is based in Richmond, Virginia, with a flexible hybrid schedule requiring two onsite days per week.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Angular version 14 or newer.
- Experience developing responsive, scalable, production-grade web applications.
- A solid understanding of front-end architecture and integration with RESTful APIs.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Richmond, Virginia, two days per week.
Nice To Haves
- Experience developing mobile applications using Ionic.
- Experience with NgRx or similar state management libraries such as Redux, Akita, or MobX.
- Familiarity with Java or Spring Boot back-end development.
- Experience with AWS and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, or Jest.
- Previous experience developing applications for transportation, healthcare, or mobility platforms.
