About The Position

GDIT is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to join their team in building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance UI applications using a microservices architecture. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing application frontend frameworks and technologies, with a focus on building modular, loosely coupled components that integrate with backend microservices. The developer will collaborate with the team to build reusable UI components, optimize UI performance, and ensure accessibility. This position supports Government activities in Springfield, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Amazon Web Services environments, including S3, to design, develop, deploy, maintain, and monitor web applications within AWS infrastructures.
  • Demonstrated experience programming in Java and/or JavaScript.
  • Demonstrated experience with J2EE and enterprise web application design and development.
  • Demonstrated experience working with RDS databases.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and writing RESTful applications.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and deploying applications to an Apache Tomcat web server.
  • Demonstrated experience with change management processes using GitHub and/or Jira to track changes in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an agile environment.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with staff, IT customers, and other technical and non-technical staff and contractors at all levels.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.

  • Demonstrated experience developing non-traditional or innovative means of applying technical solutions to difficult analytic problems.

Responsibilities
