About The Position
GDIT is seeking an experienced Frontend Developer to join their team in building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance UI applications using a microservices architecture. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing application frontend frameworks and technologies, with a focus on building modular, loosely coupled components that integrate with backend microservices. The developer will collaborate with the team to create reusable UI components, optimize UI performance, and ensure accessibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree.
- 8+ years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of UI design principles, human-computer interaction, and user experience (UX) best practices.
- Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, with a focus on building responsive and interactive UI components.
- Experience with utilizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with UI testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with UI design systems and style guides, such as Material UI or Bootstrap.
- Experience with building and maintaining complex, data-driven UI components.
- Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and best practices for guiding accessible UI components.
- Experience working on large scale complex UI codebase.
- Must be able to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
- US citizenship required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with version control systems like Git (GitHub, GitLab, Etc).
- Strong understanding of UI performance optimization techniques, such as code splitting, lazy loading, and caching.
- Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular, and proficiency in building reusable UI components.
- Familiarity with UI development tools such as Angular, HTML, Material, and CSS preprocessors like Sass.
- Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Experience with other frontend Frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Java, Python or Node.js.
