Front-End Developer II, Protect - ShareGate
About The Position
ShareGate is the leading Microsoft 365 migration and governance platform, trusted by over 100,000 IT pros for its unmatched simplicity. It offers the simplest, most reliable, and most affordable way to move business data to Microsoft 365, from various sources like Google Workspace, file shares, Exchange Online, and SharePoint On-Premises, to tenant-to-tenant migrations. ShareGate also provides governance features to assess, uncover issues, and fix environments, ensuring data remains clean, secure, and optimized, and lays the groundwork for safe Microsoft Copilot deployment. ShareGate is developed by Workleap Technologies, a Montréal-based software company. You'll be joining a team of experienced developers who design and evolve products used at scale. In this role, you'll focus on crafting high-quality, performant user interfaces in React and TypeScript, turning complex product needs into intuitive experiences. Beyond the code, you'll take part in technical and product decisions, and contribute to discussions around customer value, performance, accessibility, and the long-term quality and maintainability of our front-end.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- Fullstack development experience
- Proficiency in C# .NET
- Experience with React
- Solid understanding of SQL databases
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Strong interest in product development
Responsibilities
- Ship high-quality, performant front-end features in React and TypeScript that meet UX standards from the earliest milestones
- Translate user needs into shipped experiences that solve the real problem (not just the spec), in tight partnership with Product and Design
- Grow a reusable component library and design system that speeds up delivery across the team
- Step into the backend when needed: read existing code and extend or add functionality so delivery isn't blocked at the front-end boundary
- Deliver interfaces that hold up to real-world performance, accessibility, and responsiveness expectations
- Help shape front-end architecture and engineering practices that scale beyond the first release
- Keep the codebase healthy and maintainable through reviews, testing, and continuous improvement
- Influence product and technical decisions through active participation in team discussions
