About The Position

The Front End Cashier completes customer transactions by scanning and weighing products and accepting cash, checks, credit or debit cards, or other forms of payment. Cashiers operate registers in the food store or outdoor seasonal shops. The role involves welcoming customers, answering questions about products, balancing the register, bagging items, providing the correct change, and delivering exceptional customer service. Team members may be asked to work in other departments as business needs require. The position calls for a friendly, positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork, store efficiency, and representing Stew Leonard’s values in interactions with customers and colleagues. The job requires frequent walking, standing, reaching, and bending; occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds; and repetitive arm and hand motions. Cashiers operating registers in outdoor seasonal shops may be exposed to hot or cold weather. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
