Front Desk Supervisor-Night Shift
About The Position
Volunteers of America–Greater New York (VOA–Greater New York) is a leading anti-poverty organization serving neighbors in need across New York City, Northern New Jersey, and Westchester. Through 70+ programs, we support over 35,000 adults and children each year, including individuals experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, youth aging out of foster care, veterans, seniors, and children with developmental delays. The Front Desk Supervisor coordinates the operation of the program during the assigned shift. Harmony House is a residence offering safe, affordable, permanent housing to single men and women living with AIDS.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred plus One-year relevant experience working in a similar capacity in a social services setting.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills and basic computer knowledge.
- Certifications in security, CPR/First Aid, and Fire Safety (F-80), etc., also required, in accordance with regulatory mandates covering this program site.
Responsibilities
- Directs all front desk staff activities to ensure adherence to policy and procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation of front desk activities.
- Provide emergency assistance to residents as needed and supervise incident management system.
- Monitor building safety.
- Conduct rounds at residence as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
